Vindy.com features an article on WWE holding a Raw house show at the Chevy Centre in Youngstown, OH this past Friday. The show was one of the best-attended event at the Chevrolet Centre with it drawing over 6,200 fans out of a capacity of 6,500 fans for wrestling shows. WWE are in talks with the Chevy Centre to host a televised show at the arena, however WWE won’t be able to broadcast a show from the arena due to the company switching to HD television equipment which is too big for the arena to hold. The Orlando Sentinel features an article on WWE hiring John Saboor as their Senior Vice President of Special Events from the Central Florida Sports Commission. Saboor joined the commission in 1994 and became its president two years ago. He also helped lure this year's WrestleMania 24 to Orlando's Citrus Bowl. John Saboor said, "This is over a third of my life spent here at the sports commission, and this is not a decision that came easily for me," Saboor said. "But Vince McMahon and the senior staff at WWE have really set the bar high in the world of sports and entertainment. For me, it came down to this being a terrific chance to work with him and other senior staff to plan for the placement for their platinum events years in advance." The article also notes that Saboor will continue to live in the Orlando area and hopes he will convince WWE decision-makers to bring other marquee events to the city.
