- It appears American Gladiators is trying to create more of a buzz for Matt Morgan's debut on the show for his beast in the cage gimmick. To hype his debut, they are going to hold off on his first show, by putting him a few episodes into the season before revealing his character. Morgan debuts on the show during Episode 6, which is scheduled to air on Monday, June 16. That is of course if the show doesn't get canceled by then. On a side note, he will perform under the name "Beast." They plan on lowering him from the ceiling in a cage when he competes. Morgan originally backed out of the role after NBC wanted to sign him to a long-term contract with the show being his first priority. However, the two sides managed to come to an agreement and a deal was ultimately struck. Morgan has already filmed some segments. Both TNA & Gladiators have agreed to work dates out together.
